What a soft hyperbaric chamber does

The driving force in what a hyperbaric chamber does is simple science but its effects are determined by what the body is capable of. A hyperbaric chamber increases pressure to 1.3 ata(this can also be decreased for those who need a lower pressure to start) which automatically decreases inflammation instantly through the whole body which leaves the body to flow and function better. With the increase in pressure the partial pressure of oxygen becomes 23% which is 1.3 times greater than the partial pressure at 5000ft of 17%. No extra oxygen is added to they system so the air ratios remain constant which provides a 100% safe environment as on the outside. The only change you will experience is during the pressurization and depressurization phase which is also minimal and easily controlled. During this phase your ears will pop like landing in a plane and after it is pressurized everything will be just as normal as it is on the outside. Generally most people become extremely relaxed because of the reduced inflammation through the entire body and you might want to take a nap to further increase greater relaxation.

Metabolic function is affected

With the reduction of inflammation your body is then able to function at a higher state and allows more oxygen to freely flow to places it has been restricted because of inflammation. This increases your metabolic function and decreases your blood pressure the first session which will effect blood sugar levels so you will want to make sure you eat something before a session. A result of increased metabolic function something most people notice after one session is improved sleep the night after as well. There are many other benefits of increased metabolic function after prolonged use.

This will most likely be the most relaxed feeling you experience and what happens when the body is relaxed is truly incredible when there is much less stress.

My Story

I had a severe Tbi 9/5/2015 from a bike accident descending Mt. Evans which I was life flighted from. I was released fairly quick and passed standard base level test and left on my own to figure out how to function and attempt to continue a normal life. Within the first year I knew there was something extremely wrong with my body because I was having serious autonomic failure across the board. I had significant sleep problems, digestion problems, detrimental breathing issues, heart complications, and much more. So I went and had a sleep test, breathing test, heart test, and a digestion sutures to see what was wrong. They all came back with abnormalities but they said I should be worse than I was so again I was left to figure it out on my own. I knew that It was stress causing my complications of some form so over the next 5 years I kept simplifying my life by removing as many stressors as possible. Initially I would feel better as I removed each stress but It was never long lasting so I just had to continue removing stressors until there were no more that I could possibly remove and still support myself. During this time I would spend weeks or months on end on a couch and bed bound due to poor functionality and my body needed more rest to recover. I am a triathlete and training kept getting tougher and tougher each year as it required more time to recover. To preform at races I had to almost stop training 2 months leading into the race to be recovered enough to do well for that one day. As each year went on my performance kept declining significantly and this last year in 2022 became the worst. I raced a 70.3 in august in preparation to race Ironman World championships in Kona in October. After racing this half my recovery was extremely poor and I wasn't able to do much leading into Kona. I never was able to recover to function well to race Kona but still gave it my best as for me that was going to be my last Ironman race because of how quick I was declining. The following 3 months after the race became detrimental to me as I wasn't removing at all from that race. I tried many different avenues of recovery and nothing was helping and I ended up being in bed 12-18 hours a day unable to do anything and not feeling great when I was out and about. Within a month after Kona it got to a point where I couldn't fully sustain my own self any longer. I tried to make Doctors appointments but they were booked out so I went to a walk in clinic which they almost hospitalized me at that time because of a low O2 saturation reading but ended up running some blood test and dismissing me again. I then stumbled across what a hyperbaric chamber was and found one in my city to test out and took the dive. For me my first time it was the most incredible thing I have ever experienced and never wanted to get out. So then it was my goal to try and get that treatment. Eventually a month after my first experience I figured out I could buy my own and bought it as fast as I could. I got my chamber 12/21/22 and have been sleeping in it every night since then and have seen astronomical improvements through my whole life. Not only has it change my life it has given me a new life and things I haven't been capable of doing since my accident 7 years ago. I keep seeing incredible body function improvements week after week and I don't think that will slow down anytime soon because it take the body awhile to truly heal. Our bodies are incredibly powerful if they can truly function and the hyperbaric chamber helps make that possible by reducing inflammation allowing the body to flow and function as it is intended too. I now have designed and have sold custom steel chambers that go up to 2ata for faster healing and a more comfortable set up.
